Manager

After years of being behind the scenes, we've finally managed to poach MJ to take over the day-to-day running of Celtic Gold following Emma's retirement. MJ does a little bit of absolutely everything — from buying stock and managing the website to marketing, customers, paperwork and generally keeping everyone organised. The one thing she definitely isn't is a jeweller, so please don't hand her anything that requires a blowtorch. You'll usually find her somewhere between the shop floor, the office and the workshop, probably doing six things at once.

Chris

Director

The second Director at Celtic Gold, representing the third generation of the family business. His training has included in-house training under the guidance of the late Malcolm as well as external training in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter. Chris also specialises in watch valuations, which he conducts on-site at Celtic Gold.

Diane

Shop Team

A valued member of the Celtic Gold team for nearly ten years, Diane is affectionately known as "the Oracle", reflecting her extensive knowledge and reliability on the shop floor. She helps ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the shop, monitors stock levels and makes sure everything is in order.

Jo

Shop Team

Jo joined Celtic Gold in 2022 and has become an important part of the business. She acts as the main point of contact between Celtic Gold and its trusted stone setters in Birmingham, overseeing communication regarding stone-set jewellery and helping ensure each piece meets Celtic Gold's required standards of quality. She also assists customers with queries and concerns regarding their jewellery.

Emma

Director

Emma has been at the heart of Celtic Gold for many years and, while she has now stepped back from the day-to-day running of the business, she remains a Director and an important part of Celtic Gold. As the Island's only Gemologist, Emma continues to carry out our professional jewellery valuations. She's also helping MJ learn the ropes, passing on the knowledge and experience she's gained over her many years in the jewellery trade — so although she's technically "retired", we haven't quite let her escape yet!

Hannah

Shop Team

Hannah originally joined us as our 'Saturday girl', but she absolutely excelled herself and quickly became a much bigger part of the Celtic Gold team. She now works with us several days a week and you'll usually find her at the front of the shop, helping our wonderful customers, keeping everything running smoothly and always ready for a chat! Friendly, hardworking and brilliant with customers, Hannah has become a very valued member of our little team.

Arthur

Shop Team

Arthur is the newest member of the Celtic Gold team, joining us on Saturdays alongside his education. You'll find him at the front of the shop helping customers, learning the ropes and generally making himself useful wherever he's needed. He's friendly, polite, hardworking and picked things up incredibly quickly, exactly the kind of person we love having as part of our team. He may be our newest recruit, but he's already fitted right in!
